Cone ZERO, a querky short storywritten some time ago, made the shortlist for Nemonymous Eight, an anthology of the same name. From the editor: "It is perhaps no real consolation for you to know that yours reached the short list, but what it does mean is that I loved it... but then I had to stoop to the sheer reality of only being able to choose a relative few to be published within a synergy of stories."
For more about the Nemonymous books, see the wiki. Cone Zero (the anthology) is nominated for the 2009 British Fantasy Awards.
Red and the Machine is in the Fall 2008 issue of the long-running print mag (now quarterly) Space and Time Magazine.
